Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Time to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for.
This past year has brought so many changes to my life, it's almost overwhelming! My oldest son, Sebastien, has moved into his own apartment, and is flourishing. He is in his last year at the University of Windsor, and has recently been offered a job writing a television series. Yeah, his first paid gig!
My other son, Malcolm is on his second Rotary Youth Exchange. Just after he turned sixteen, he went on a ten month exchange to Zimbabwe, and this past August, at the age of eighteen, he got on a plane to Lithuania for a second, ten month exchange, where he will be attending grade 12 in the local high school.
We're not quite empty-nesters though, when our son left for exchange, we gained a daughter. Fernanda arrived from Chile the day after Malcolm left, and I have to say, I love having a daughter! I now have someone to be all girly with. We are taking Tai Chi classes, I taught her how to knit, we make jewelry, and she loves her Young Living Essential Oils too! She really enjoys making roller bottles, and we both find them a convenient way to use essential oils on the go!
We were blessed to be able to share Thanksgiving dinner this year with Hubby's whole family on Sunday, and with my family on Monday, including my 93 year old Grandmother who flew across country from Vancouver for a three week visit! Hubby made an amazing turkey on the BBQ, so moist and flavourful! I am really looking forward to leftovers!
Cheers!
